Welcome to Duck Recon Reviews Blog
Welcome to Our Waterfowl Gear Review Blog – No Sales Pitch, Just Honest Opinions
Hello and welcome! We're excited to have you here as we
launch this blog dedicated to one simple mission: giving honest, unbiased
reviews of waterfowl hunting gear—completely free of affiliate links. All gear reviewed is either purchased
directly by us or provided for free by manufacturers with NO obligation to give
a positive review and NO sales commissions.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by gear reviews that sound
more like advertisements than helpful insights, you’re not alone. That’s
exactly why we started this blog. We believe waterfowls deserve honest feedback
from people who actually use the gear in the field—without being influenced by
brand partnerships or financial incentives.
Here, you’ll find real-world reviews of everything from
waders and decoys to shotguns and calls. We’ll be testing gear in the mud,
cold, rain, and everything else the season throws at us, so you get the full
picture of how a product holds up when it matters most.
What sets us apart?
- No
Affiliations. We don’t earn a penny if you buy something we review.
Our goal is to inform, not sell.
- Real-World
Testing. Every item we cover has been tested during actual hunts. No
desk reviews here.
- Straight
Talk. If something doesn’t perform, we’ll say so. If it blows us away,
you’ll hear about that too.
Whether you're a seasoned duck hunter or just getting
started, we hope this blog becomes a go-to resource for choosing gear you can
count on. We’re here to hopefully help you make better buying decisions based
on performance, not marketing hype.
Thanks for joining us. We’re glad you’re here—and we’d love
to hear from you. Drop a comment, send an email, or connect with us on social
media.
Stay tuned—first review coming soon ….. on our own decoy anchor
rigs – The Recon Rig by Duck Recon. But as
we stated about, this review will be honest and you will be surprised when you
read that “there are better rigs out there” based on your style of
hunting. Our rigs are good but DEFINETLY
not for all hunters or environments.
Until then, keep your powder dry and your waders patched.
